Train your AI muscles
A gym is where you get stronger by showing up. This is ours for AI & investing — initial thoughts on how to learn, plus a growing library of posts across artificial intelligence, AI tools, sustainability, recent news, changes & disruptions and investment opportunities.
How to start learning AI today
Our honest starting point — no hype, just a path that works.
Build a mental model first
AI isn't magic — it's statistics, optimisation and data at scale. Before any tool, understand what a model does: pattern learning, training, inference, tokens, context windows, temperature.
Use AI to learn AI
Ask a capable LLM to explain a concept, quiz you on it, and give you tiny projects. This is the single fastest way to compound understanding — we used exactly that approach here.
Learn the tools by doing
Pick one workflow and finish it end-to-end: a summariser, a CSV analyser, a simple agent. Tools are learned at the keyboard, not in a lecture.
Follow the patterns, not the headlines
Models change weekly; the durable patterns — retrieval, chaining, evaluation, guardrails — change slowly. Learn those and news becomes easy to absorb.
Keep a learning log
Write down what you tried, what failed, and what surprised you. The blog section below is our public log — yours can be private.
Watch the money and the disruption
AI changes what businesses are worth. Track both the technology and the investment side — that is how an edge compounds.
